A31p
The A31p is the last representative of the A-series and, as a performance model, also the top configuration. My model has the most powerful CPU, maximum RAM and the largest display. As with the A22p, up to 1600x1200 pixels are possible here.
A striking feature is the Bluetooth button on the display. While later models integrate this either into the keyboard or the hardware switch, the Bluetooth module is actually located in the display here.
No less surprising are the function keys (especially for online functions) to the left of the keyboard. These are separate from the exchangeable keyboard, and the arrangement annoyed many users. The hinges of the device are now visible as a design element and are no longer hidden under a plastic cover.
In addition to the S-video input/output, two expansion bays (UltraBay Plus, UltraBay 2000) are also offered. The latter is installed on the left and usually has a disc drive - however, a second optical drive can also be installed. Multimedia was obviously a top priority here.
