The Yoga 11e Gen 5 is the 5th tablet in the 11e series and was probably manufactured between October 2019 and 2023.

It is a small convertible tablet optimised for use in schools with a rubber coating on the edge of the housing. The casing is made of ABS plastic. A striking feature is that the WLAN status LED is located in the centre of the upper display lid. This makes it possible to recognise from a distance whether the device is connected to a network. Interestingly, the device has a fully-fledged RJ45 interface and supports charging via both a Slimtip and a USB C port.

My device comes from a stock sale of a school. It is in used but acceptable condition. The lid has some scratches due to use and the keyboard layout is not German. This seems typical for this generation, as German layouts were apparently only introduced with the following generation.

There was also an optional stylus for the device that could be used with the touchscreen. This has an acceptable resolution for the size and supports operation with up to 10 fingers. My device has the more powerful of two CPUs and fortunately a NVMe SSD was also installed instead of an eMMC. The RAM corresponds to the maximum.

All in all, the Yoga 11e is a pretty underrated device.
