WorkPad
If you exclude the PC110 (which, strictly speaking, is not a PDA), the IBM WorkPad is the first PDA from IBM. It is not an in-house development, but merely a re-labeled Palm Pilot Personal or Professional. It is the second device from Palm after the Palm Pilot 1000 and 5000. Visually, there are few changes - the housing is black and is adorned with two logos.
The PDA was introduced on 10.03.1997. The recommended retail price was 399 USD (Professional) or 299 USD /(Professional). The device was replaced in 1998 by the WorkPad 20x (based on the Palm III).
Funnily enough, some IMAX cinemas still use a virtualized version of the PDA to manage some oversized film carriers that are rarely used.
