W701
The W701 is the second and last model in the W7xx series and was manufactured between March 2010 and February 2011. As a mobile workstation with a 17" display, it is a very large and bulky ThinkPad. It is one of the rarer models and is now not easy to find due to the short production time. Due to its size, two ThinkLights were installed.
It has a full-size keyboard including a dedicated numeric keypad and an optional Wacom digitizer. The GPU is replaceable - which is rather unusual.
My model has an unspectacular basic configuration - the display has a very low resolution of 1440x900 on 17". Two of the USB ports are dysfunctional, which is probably due to a defective cable on a daughterboard. Digitizer and Wacom tablet are missing on my model.
