The X40 was the first model in the X4x series and was manufactured from February 2004 to December 2006. The X31 and X32 were also produced in parallel. Compared to these devices, the X40 is significantly thinner, but only has one RAM slot. Another disadvantage is the extremely unfavorable 1.8" hard disk. There are few spare parts - and when there are, the hard disks are very slow compared to 2.5" hard disks. The only alternative is to install mSATA adapters - but this ideally also requires a frame from a 3D printer.

My device was previously used almost exclusively in a docking station and therefore has an unused QWERTY keyboard.
