The T30 is the only model of the T3x series and was produced between May 2002 and January 2004. The reason for this was probably the Intel Pentium 4 processor, which is generally known to be inefficient.

Like the R4x, T3x and X3x series, the design has a angled corner at the top left. Compared to the T2x series, the device has the UltraNav input. Another striking feature is a physical anti-shock unit on the underside of the housing. When the device is set down, air penetrates through the housing into the hard disk slot and prevents the hard disk from being set down. Later models solve this problem much more elegantly in software (Active Protection System).

Due to the short production run, the T30 is rarely to be found on online auction sites. I received a partially defective model at a conference and repaired it with spare parts procured online. An optical drive is still missing.
