Das R61 ist das zweite und letzte Modell der R6x-Serie. Es wurde von Mai 2007 bis 2009 gefertigt. Zu den Erneuerungen gegenüber der R5x-Serie zählen neben 64-bit-fähigen CPUs und einer neueren Tastatur mit Windows-Taste auch die SATA-Schnittstelle, die IDE in Rente schicken.

Das Design entspricht weitestgehend dem der T6x-Serie - das Gehäuse und die Displayränder subd jedoch etwas dicker und die typische Gummierung fehlt.

Mein Modell ist eine individuelle Anpassung, was am CTO-Typ zu erkennen ist. Es verfügt über die zweitgrößte CPU, der RAM könnte noch auf 8 GB erweitert werden.
